We were blessed, recently, with some samples of a great new kid’s snack called giddy dip ‘ems, to try and review here in the lost world. You yawned!! I saw you yawn! Oh yes you did…the minute you read the words “new kid’s snack”. It’s all right. Really. I have the same reaction most of the time when reading about this great new snack or that great new snack. After all, there’s nothing new under the sun, right? WRONG! There IS something new under the sun, and giddy’s got ‘em!
So many times, wholesome kid’s snack options are, let’s face it, bland and boring. I can’t even tell you how many times a box of snack food has ended up in the chicken pen or compost heap because the littles just won’t eat ‘em.
giddy dip ‘ems are clearly different. First of all, they’re completely free of high fructose corn syrup, contain no refined sugar and have no preservatives or artificial ingredients. How do they taste, you ask…well, have a look at Mikayla’s face, she loved ‘em.
We went thru 2 of the individual packages taking pictures and she didn’t complain. In fact, she wanted a third!
I managed to convince her, though, that I really needed to eat the third package, in the interest of being able to give my fair and unbiased opinion and I’m glad I did. I hid the fourth package. I’m still not sure if I’ll give it to Mikayla or just eat it myself!
The whole grain biscuits are super crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness and are a perfect size for little hands to manage. The grape fruit dip was delicious too and did a great job of complimenting the flavor of the biscuits without overwhelming them. The dip was a good consistency too…easy to scoop up onto the biscuit and with enough thickness and body to stay put without being too drippy. You probably wouldn’t want to give this snack to a child in the car, but they’d be perfect for a picnic at the park, an afterschool snack, or tucking into a lunchbox.
We honestly have to give giddy dip ‘ems a huge thumbs up here in the lost world. The littles love ‘em, the grown ups love ‘em and I’m betting that you will too!
