#Enter to #win a cute lil Hexbug Nano! ends 12/9

Hexbug

I kid you not, when our little Hexbug Larva (with batteries included) arrived in the lost world, my husband and I spent a solid hour playing with it on the kitchen table and then letting the cats chase it across the kitchen floor. We laughed until our sides hurt.

What a marvel of modern engineering this little guy is. It’s multi jointed body movements seem spookily realistic and the way it avoids running into things boggles the mind. It didn’t matter how quickly we put our hands or another object in front of it, it turned on a dime and went the other way. Unfortunately, it didn’t recognize the edge of the table and over he went…but no worries, without missing a beat he was off and running! THAT’s when we discovered that the kitties loved the Larva too!

I guess we’re nothing but big kids, at heart, because honestly, I’d want to have a few of these little fellas hanging around even if there were no littles in residence! I guess I’d even endure my husbands corny jokes about tying it to a fishig line to catch the big ones!

I think any kid in the world (even the big ones) would be thrilled to find one of the many varieties of Hexbugs in their stocking come Christmas morning…from the Original to the Crab to the Spider..there’s some Hexbug coolness for everyone! Personally I want about ten of the Larva to turn loose at the same time!

The great folks at Hexbugs want to help you get your collection started and they are offering one of my readers a chance to win a great Hexbug Nano!

HEXBUG Nano – Putting the ‘micro’ in Micro Robotic Creatures.
We set out to make a really small HEXBUG that gave the appearance of being smart. How will it react when it encounters an obstacle? What happens if it gets turned over? The first prototypes of the Nano were inspired by the old vibrating football games. More recent examples of vibrating motion are the BEAM Vibrobots, and then the Bristlebots. Thirty some iterations, a few years, and dozens of designs later the Nano was born. To give just a taste of how much development went into this product, we engineered and rapid prototyped over 150 variations of legs alone.

How cool is that? You know the drill…just jump aboard the Rafflecopter to enter!
