With the number of furbabies in my house, I go though A LOT of pet food every week and I frequently look for ways to a) save a few bucks and b) make it easier to shop for. I think I may have found both at www.mrchewy.com!
I was recently offered the chance to shop at Mr. Chewy, an online pet supply retailer and tell you all about my experience.
I expected to find a large variety of great products at a good price. Mr. Chewy didn’t let me down. I chose standard brands of both dog and cat food, that I would be likely to find in my local grocery store so I could get a better idea of both the availability and prices most folks might look for. I also chose to order our regular flea preventative.

At first glance, the dog and cat foods were slightly more expensive than I would typically find at a grocery store, but when you add the factor of driving time, fuel costs (free shipping on orders over $49) and aggravation, it really turned out to be a bargain, to me. The Frontline was the find of the day as it cost at least $15 less than I’m accustomed to paying elsewhere. I also love the fact that you can order and schedule deliveries so you never run short of supplies for your furbabies.
So far so good. I found exactly what I would have expected to find. Great variety, good prices and a heck of a lot of convenience for my bucks. What I didn’t expect to find, in this day of “take the money and run” was the level of customer service I experienced. THAT is what really sealed the deal for me.
The evening during which I placed my order, came on the heels of a dreadful day. I had just about had it and was running on empty. You know the kind of day I’m talking about, right? blechhhhhhh!
Anyway, due to my own ineptitude, I messed up my order and didn’t realize until after I had hit submit that the entire order had been charged to my credit card because I had forgotten to apply a promotional code. It was late, but I tried the customer service number anyway and was pleasently surprised to be greeted by a very nice young woman, who, with no questions asked, cancelled my order for me.
It was easy, painless and very much appreciated. I went back to the website, ordered properly, got my confirmation emails for both the cancelation and the new order and took myself to bed.
The next moring, as I sat with my cuppa, going through my emails, the phone rang and another young lady, who identified herself as a customer service supervisor, for Mr. Chewy called to ask if my issues from the night before had been resovlved to my satisfaction and to find out if there was anything else they could do for me! WHAT?! I was blown away!
My experience with Mr. Chewy was wonderful and I can, quite happily, recommend them to you all!
