Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener ~ review and *giveaway* ends 2/29
“The Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener in Rubberized Black makes opening wine bottles easy while entertaining your guests at the same time. Designed for home and restaurant use, its latest generation battery now opens up to 40 wine bottles with the gentle push of a button, all on a single charge. The Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener is completely cordless and includes an elegant recharging base with an LED charging indicator. The Pro also ships with a free always handy foil cutter to remove wine seals, and a bonus wine pourer and stopper. The Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener opens both natural and synthetic corks. It also boasts a new ultra light-weight design, a faster motor, and an ergonomic rubberized soft grip for effortless handling. Use it at home or take it with you to impress your hosts and guests before the first sip.”
I am not a handy person. Removing a cork from a bottle is almost more than I can handle. This results in missing out on some lovely wines as I’m the girl that looks for those bottles with a screw off top! Yes, I admit it. Blushingly, but I DO cop to it.
I don’t even have a corkscrew in the house so when presented with a lovely bottle of Reisling over the holidays, I had to borrow one! Then, adding insult to injury, I managed to destroy the cork leaving little pieces floating in the wine that had to be fished out before serving!
Oy Vey!
When a chance presented itself, to try the Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener, I was on it in a flash! In due time, the UPS man delivered it to my door and smiling, I unpacked it and plugged in to charge. We were having folks in on Friday evening for movie night and I could hardly wait to show off my new toy.
The day arrived and I proudly brought out the wine and opener, handed it to my son Jake and waited for the show. Frankly, it was anticlimactic. In 5 seconds it was over. No fanfare, no mess, just a lovely bottle of wine, sans cork, just waiting to be tasted. If we didn’t live so far out in the sticks, I would have made someone drive to the store for another bottle just to see if it was that easy all the time!
I made myself wait, though, until the following Friday and this time, I determined that I would open the bottle myself. Surely it couldn’t have been as easy as Jake made it look. It was! I did it! It was amazing! I felt like Wonder Woman! Ozeri, where have you been all my life?
The unit, as a whole is sleek and well designed. The rubberized outer covering provides a comfortable non slip grip and it looks streamlined and attractive sitting on my counter and takes up almost no space at all.
I believe that once you try this product, you’ll never be tempted to use a traditional corkscrew again!
The good folks at Ozeri would like you to try this fine product too and are offering one of my readers a chance to win an Ozeri Pro Electric Wine Opener of their own! The only thing they ask in return is that you write a review, on Amazon, after you’ve had a chance to try it for yourself. Not too shabby, huh?
