We were recently given the opportunity to review The Sticky Mosaics Fairy Box from the Orb Factory! We had tons of fun with this one, folks!
It’s recommended for ages 5 and above and comes with an sturdy adorable jewelry/keepsake box and over 800 sparkly tiles to decorate it with. The kit was easy to use (with a little help from me) mess free and provided almost instant gratification for nearly 5 year old Mikayla. It’s so nice when a little can begin to see the fruits of their quickly and this kit delivers that and more!
There ARE lots of little pieces, so with younger littles, especially, supervision is a must. Also plan several sessions as I think trying to do it all at once would be too much. In our case, we took our time and when Mikayla’s attention began to wander, we put it away for another day.
Mikayla loved the feeling of accomplishment she got from ‘making it herself’ and I love the way it encourages and hones fine motor skills. The sparkly tiles are peeled from their adhesive backing and simply stuck to the spaces provided on the jewelry box. The easy to follow diagram makes it easy!
I have to say that the age recommendation is spot on. Younger littles simply won’t have the manual dexterity to manage the small pieces, but cheer up, they have wonderful kits like My First Creative Collage Dinos and My First Creative Collage Princess for the younger (3 and up) set as well!
