Too bad, isn’t it? With all the technology available to us today, someone can’t come up with a snack food that’s actually good for you. Wouldn’t it be great to have a chip that was loaded with non GMO vegetable fiber? Or contained 4 grams of complete protein? Rich in ALA Omega 3s? What about gulten free and kosher?
*insert drum roll here*
Someone has! Beanitos is here!
“Beanitos®, The Original Bean Chips™ were created by serious snackers, for serious snackers (aka For Human Beans™) who demand more than empty calories from their snacks. And, since corn is in over 4,000 products at the typical supermarket and has been linked to a host of health issues including obesity, all of our products are Always Corn Free™!
You see, we love to snack, but when looking for a low glycemic snack that tasted great, we simply could not find one. So we set out about creating one. Two years later: Beanitos, The Bean Chips were born and launched in January 2010! While we did create a great tasting snack that won’t spike blood sugar, along the way, we were able to make our chips even better for you.”
Recently, I was sent a case of delicious new Beanitos Single-Serve – The New Healthy To-Go Snacks! I actually hid them for a few days, until I had a chance to taste each of the 4 yummy flavors because I knew the minute I declared open season, those bad boys would be gone! I was right.
Everyone in the lost world loves crunchy salty snacks, some of us more than others, but thankfully, most of us value our health more than we crave the crunch. Thanks to Beanitos, we can have both health and crunch with no guilt whatsoever! Yay!
The single serve packages are wonderful for tucking into lunch bags and a perfect size for after school snacks too. I found the serving size to be perfect for crumbling up over my taco salad or into taco soup. No more guess work.
They’re not a wimpy chip either. They stand up really well to even the heartiest dips like guacamole and hummus (and taste delicious too) We each had a personal favorite, mine was the Beanitos Black Bean Chips, Daniel called dibs on the Pinto Bean and Flaxseed, Jake ate all of the Chipotle BBQ on his own, Caitlyn and baby Sophie finished off the Cheddar Cheese Beanitos!
I’d like to encourage all of you to give Beanitos a try…maybe with the yummy Black Bean Hummus that I’ve shared below. I really think you’ll like them!
