I, like so many, tend to go overboard during the holiday season. There are so many delightful treats to be made and of course, I have to sample everything. Honestly, if I’d stop with just a sample, I’d be ok, but that’s not the way it works, is it? To my dismay, this year, I’d already gained 4 pounds the week after Thanksgiving and I still had a long time to go until New Year’s!
Frankly, I have better things to do than start the near year with a 10 pound handicap so I determined that I would absolutely stay on track and set about finding ways to help myself.
I’m excited that I’ve found out about a site called Let’s Fight Holiday Fat- it is totally awesome and completely free! It is a great tool to start myself on my own personal journey to eat and live healthier. LetsFightHolidayFat.com is a new, free online guide for anyone interested in overcoming the holidays and being weight-loss ready for 2013, created by the great folks at Alli.
LetsFightHolidayFat.com combines three core elements for the weight conscious during the holidays: diet, physical activity and motivation in an easy-to-use interface. It helps track goals and prepare for long-term success with features including:
- Follow-along fitness videos; from cross training to yoga / pilates
- Healthy (reduced calorie, low-fat) daily meal suggestions and recipes
- Custom calorie and activity tracking
- Community and social features and forums
- Smart phone accessibility
- Expert tips and tricks
I love the realistic advice I’ve found there too. It’s a site designed for women just like you and I. No fancy equipment or exotic ingredients needed, thank you very much! Just good solid easy to follow tips in an easy to read format. I don’t know about you, but it really makes a difference to me when I can find everything I need in one spot….from exercise routines to delicious healthy low fat recipes.
I really love that you can ask questions and get answers from other members too. It is a really helpful community, which is super important for support when trying to lose or maintain your weight.
