Every once in a while, I run across a product or piece of art that touches something inside of me. When I found Debby Carman’s Faux Paw Productions, the best of both worlds became magically entwined and I knew I had to tell you about them here on life in the lost world…
Debby Carman is an imagineer who reaches deep within to create the world’s most beautiful porcelain dog bowls, cat bowls and treat jars!
Based in Laguna Beach, California, Debby is an artist, cartoonist and fabulist who draws, sculpts and paints our whimsical friends from the animal kingdom in her own distinctively recognizable style using an expressively vibrant color palette, capturing our furry friends in all manner of fun, farce and frolic.
Debby owns Faux Paw Productions at 2179 Laguna Canyon Road, in Laguna Beach where she highlights and showcases her unique one of a kind line of hand drawn, painted and fired ceramics and is now on the internet too at Faux Paw Productions, which is where I found her!
As I browsed her site, I fell in love so many times! Ohhhing and Ahhhing over so many things…she captures the various breeds so well…from the serious to the silly…it was a total treat!
One thing led to another and two weeks ago, a fabulous Debby Carman original dog bowl arrived on my doorstep.
I had written to her sending pictures and describing his royal goofiness, Cooper, and true to the fun whimsical style I witnessed on her site, she captured his personality perfectly! Ya’ll know that I’m no photographer, but just take a look at this wonderful bowl! It’s the cutest thing EVER!
The quality of the piece is quite evident…this is no wimpy little bargain basement bowl and I love Debby’s use of color! I didn’t tell her my favorite color is green, but she intuitively chose it for the background color of Cooper’s bowl. This is artisan creation at it’s very best and I absolutely adore it, as does everyone I’ve shown it to since it’s arrival! Truly Debby Carman is the Queen of The World’s Most Beautiful Pet Bowls!

I have eight dogs, three of which are rescues, six of the eight dogs are shelties, one is a pit bull and the last rescue is a chihuahua. Although she doesn’t have breed specific things for shelties or apbt, I learned that you can contact her and she will do any breed. That’s really cool.
