Grandma Lucy’s Freeze Dried Pet Food and Treats – review and #giveaway ends1/28

Disclosure: The blog owner (that’s me!) received a product(s) or promotional item from Grandma Lucy’s to facilitate this review. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained herein, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). Your own may differ.

Recently, I was invited to review a selection of treats and dog food from Grnadma Lucy’s – a company that takes great pride in delivering the finest pet food and treats to you and your furkids.

For 13 years, they’ve cooked, freeze-dried and packaged only the best 100% human grade pet foods. If it’s not good enough for your two legged kids to eat, it’s not good enough for your four legged kids either. This philosophy and commitment allows their customers to trust their wonderful products and feel confident that their furkids are getting wholesome delicious variety of foods.

We were sent a nice variety of Gramdma Lucy’s products – Organic Baked Treats for dogs, Singles Treats for cats and dogs, meatball treats for dogs, and one sample each of their Artisan and Pureformance Freeze-Dried Grain Free pet foods to try here in the lost world.

I’m happy to tell you that everything was so well received that it surprised even me..and I’m not easily surprised!

When treat time rolls around, even baby Sophie has to get in on the act, sitting down smack dab in the middle of the pack and waiting patiently for hers! Don’t look so shocked! These Organic Blueberry Treats are GOOD! (yes I tasted them too!) and who could resist the cute little teddy bear shapes? Would you willingly feed YOUR toddler your regular pet snacks? Neither would I, but with Grandma Lucy’s I feel absolutely comfortable allowing Sophie one or two occasionally!

Our senior Fleego loved the freeze-dried Pure Performance and Artisan grain-free foods. At over 13 years old, I worry about her getting the nutrition she needs. It’s ultra easy to prepare..just add water to rehydrate and in 3-5 minutes, it’s ready to eat. The freeze drying process protects nutrients better than other ways of preserving so I know she’s getting the ‘punch’ that she needs to keep her happy and healthy for the time she has left with us. I’m very happy to have found Grandma Lucy’s line at a local Farm Store…so I can easily provide Fleego the food she needs…and deserves!

Truly, the pups loved all of the products we tested. Not a one turned a nose up to anything at all. Cooper and Lexie seem especially fond of the Tiny Tidbits Cheeseburgers, though. These snack sized meatball treats are wheat free and contain NO by products. Their ingredient list reads like a meatball made in my own kitchen – USDA beef, rice flour, cheddar cheese, tomato sauce and garlic. That’s it.

They’re ideal for small sized dogs, like our Lexie, or as a training treat for the big guys, like Cooper. Like all of Grandma Lucy’s products, all ingredients originate in the USA and are produced in their own California facility.

Use the handy dandy product locator to find Grandma Lucy’s fabulous line of products near you. You can also choose to order samples of their ARTISAN and PUREFORMANCE pet foods from the website for $1.00 each. Shipping starts at $1.95 for just 4 samples.

Grandma Lucy’s has introduced a new Frequent Diner Program in celebration of their 13th Birthday. When you purchase 12 bags of their wonderful food, you can receive the 13th
free. Find more information at http://www.grandmalucys.com/13thbirthday.html.
