If you’ve heard me say it once, you’ve heard me say it a dozen times, ‘what goes ON our bodies, goes IN our bodies, which is one of the reasons I was very happy to be invited to review Eco Princess Organics Citrus Shampoo and Detangling Conditioner.
The Eco Princess products were created by a mom who wasn’t happy with the toxic ingredients found in most kids’ products. Some of the ingredients are certified organic and are identified in bold print on the label. In addition to the shampoo/conditioner there are also bath time products and play makeup sets.
These products are free of sulfates, parabens, and toxins, and are vegan, which means they’re cruelty-free – something very important to me. The shampoo has a lovely citrus-y scent which leans toward orange-y rather that the more common lemon scents. I can still detect a hint of lemon, but the dominent scent, to me, is orange. I like that.
The Eco Princess Citrus Shampoo is deep cleansing but extremely gentle and free of toxic ingredients. They’re made from soothing ingredients including olive leaf extract, sweet almond protein, and essential oils of grapefruit, vanilla, blood orange, and tangerine. The Detangling Conditioner gently conditions and separates tangles. A citrus essential oil blend leaves hair silky, soft, and shining.
We found that just a small bit of the shampoo lathered like mad and a second lather didn’t seem needed. Mikayla’s poor hair tangles like mad when we shampoo but with the Eco Princess Detangling Conditioner we could feel the tangles relaxing as we worked it through her wet hair. Both products rinsed clean very easily and left her hair shining and managable.
Overall, we give both products a thumbs up and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
