In the last few months, we had quite a few members in our extended family dealing with dental issues. My heart just goes out to them…mouth pain is not something you can ignore. And those trips to the dentist? It makes me shiver to think about it!

Everyone is well on the road to recovery, now, thank goodness, but watching them go through it all has certainly made me think.

Here’s an eye opener for you – Did you know your mouth contains more germs than there are number of people on earth? Think about it. It’s enough to give you nightmares! If that weren’t enough, it’s estimated that a full 75% of adults suffer from some kind of periodontal (gum) disease and may not even know it!

Unfortunately, sometimes, no matter how well you think you’re brushing, you’re missing about 75% of the bacteria in your mouth, which is why it’s critical to floss regularly and rinse with an antiseptic mouthwash twice a day, like LISTERINE® that that penetrates all over for that whole mouth clean!

Thankfully, the great folks at LISTERINE® have introduced several new products to help you on your way to a healthier mouth in 2013.

The only leading mouthwash with an anti-tartar ingredient, and new EVERFRESH Technology for a dentist clean feeling that lasts up to 3x longer vs. brushing alone. Plus, it provides the superior plaque and gingivitis germ-killing benefits you’ve come to expect from original LISTERINE® Antiseptic.

Whitens teeth by removing surface stains and controls tartar to help prevent stains and provide a healthy looking white smile. It restores enamel and strengthens teeth, while also killing bad breath germs to freshen breath and provides fluoride to protect teeth from cavities.

Recently, I was sent Listerine Ultraclean Mouthwash, Listerine Whitening Original Gel and Listerine PocketPaks Oral Care Strips and asked to give my opinion of them.

I’ve been using the Listerine Ultraclean Mouthwash and Listerine Whitening Original Gel faithfully for a couple of weeks now and can honestly tell you my mouth has never felt cleaner. They ARE strong, there’s no doubt about it, but not harsh at all, and leave my mouth feeling tingly and fresh.

The PocketPaks Oral Care Strips are a great backup to have in my purse or pocket  too. Whenever I need to be particularly sure of my breath, I simply pop a strip in my mouth where it instantly dissolves while bathing my mouth in germ killing freshness. I like that!

Listerine products can be found at trusted retailers and drug stores across the country. You can find a store near you by checking out Listerine’s handy dandy store locator. Listerine Ultraclean Mouthwash retails for $3.89, Listerine Whitening Original Gel is $4.49 and Listerine PocketPaks Oral Care Strips retail for about $1.50 for a single pack.

The wonderful folks at Listerine would like to help you along in your journey toward great dental health and are offering one of my readers a chance to win a prize package containing the same great products I’ve talked about here today!
