The ToughHound – All Sports Dog Collar from DogBarkCollar.com – product review

Ah the joys of pet parenthood! For the most part, things here in the lost world run pretty smoothly. All the furkids get along and are fairly well-behaved. Everyone, that is, except Cooper.

Cooper has been somewhat of a challenge to me. You see, Cooper, at 10 months,  is a runner. Cooper is a runner with a high prey drive. When Cooper runs, something in his brain switches off and he will run until he’s done running. Nothing we have found has deterred him. Not. For. One. Single. Minute.

We have reached the conclusion that Cooper can simply not be off lead…not for a second, when he’s outside. There’s no other way, that I’ve found to curb his behavior. Have you ever seen a 70 pound dog clear a fence, like a gazelle? I have.

We’re very careful when opening doors here in the lost world. One second of not paying attention to his whereabouts and he’s gone like a flash. I live in fear of those moments. So far, he hasn’t gone far, but I worry about the day that he does.

Recently, I was invited to review a great collar from the nice folks at DogBarkCollar.com – the personalized ToughHound – All Sports Dog Collar.

This great collar features a polycoated nylon webbing band with an custom printed stainless steel nameplate that’s laser-etched for durability and readability. If Cooper gets away from us now, I won’t worry as much with my contact information printed clearly on his collar for all to see.

This is not a wimpy little collar. It’s been fashioned out of tough materials to endure whatever your furkid throws at it. With all of it’s toughness, they’ve managed to keep this collar attractive.

Upkeep is easy too. Due to the unique polycoating, it doesn’t absorb liquid or odors so cleaning is as easy as wiping with a damp cloth.

It’s available in 8 colors, widths of 5/8, 3/4 or 1 inch, and lengths from 8 to 24 inches, this collar will be a sure fit for most breeds. It can be customized, in your choice of available fonts, with up to four lines of text.

The Toughhound personalized collar was provided as a review sample and is available for purchase, along with many other fine products at the Dog Bark Collar Store. I received no other compensation for this post and was under no obligation to post a positive review. The opinions contained herein, are my own and reflect my experience with the product(s). That looks good, no tag to fall off! Mine chews through stockade fences! We have had several “are you missing a dog” calls. He too is now always on a lead. I am considering a gps collar!
