Life in the Lost World

the continuing saga of an opinionated vegan mom blogger and her zoo crew….

Friday Five (minutes)

Thank you.
Two little words that pack a pretty powerful punch. They don’t get said nearly often enough, do they?

Some of you may have noticed that we’ve been offline for a couple of days. A security update we installed a couple of weeks ago apparently had a couple of gremlins in it.

Those two gremlins somehow fell in love and decided to make babies. They reproduced at a mad rate until there was no room left, then the population explosion started spilling over into other websites, too…so my hosting company shut us down. I was beside myself.

There are no gremlin traps available on, or anywhere else on the internet, for that matter, so I made a phone call to SuperHeros, Inc and they got someone right on it.

Now, to be honest, you’d never know that the hero that showed up to save me was living a double triple life. Unassuming mommy-type person by day, boudoir photographer extraordinaire by night and blog gremlin battling super hero whenever she’s needed (which is frequently given my html stupidity factor), but hero she is and armed with the flaming sword of knowledge, she worked tirelessly for two days until she banished all those gremlins from my little kingdom!

This morning, I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing all is well in my little world again.

Thank you, my daughter. Your mama appreciates you more than you know. I couldn’t have done it without you!

  1. So glad that you got the gremlin situation resolved. Did the “fix” also include a beautiful new web design? This page is beautiful … I feel like I’ve just taken a trip out into nature. Thank you!
