Each year, for the Forth of July holiday, we host a big old family barbeque, here in the lost world. Everyone shows up with the babies in tow, a covered dish or two and a determination to have a really good time.

We have all manner of games and activities planned to get everyone involved in the festivities. There’s always a game of volleyball in progress, a water balloon fight or two and before the end of the day, a watermelon eating contest!

I’m always on the lookout for new outdoor games we can play and we’ve done everything from croquet to lawn checkers to badmiton. This year, I have a brand new game for everyone, and I think they’ll really like it.

Recently I was invited to try a great new outdoor game called RingStix.

What do you think? I think there IS something new under the sun and I’m betting I have a total hit on my hands this year. The entire family will be standing in line for their turns to play!

Seriously, I am one of the most un-coordinated people on the face of the planet and if I can learn to play this game, anyone can! It’s so much fun, you don’t even realize that you’re getting a pretty good cardio workout as you play! I like that!

You can purchase your own set of RingStix on their website and connect with RingStix on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, too!

The great folks at RingStix have generously offered one of my readers the chance to win their own set of RingStix, like the one I was sent! Thank you so much!

In the “how to” video, I learned that if you hold the ring stix slightly apart (the one on top a few inches above the one on bottom), the ring will fly further & faster, with a spin, making it harder to catch.
